“A thing of beauty is a joy forever”

Artists are ordinary people who see the world from an extraordinary point of view. Simple things invisible or regarded useless by common men and women are priceless to them. Though their perspective seems useless from the monetary point of view it is this special vision that builds stunners like the Buckingham Palace or paints a Mona Lisa. With the importance of aesthetics increasing with every passing day and the branch itself being formally attached to many companies, especially with automobiles, the argument of non viability of the artistic vision has lost weight.

The snap shows a brownish-blackish tea cup shaped rock container placed under a spout, like the one on a roof for draining water. The texture of the assembly is like the hand operated stone flour grinders used until early 20th century. The light which falls on this piece partially and obliquely illuminates it lightly and creates an impression reminiscent of dawn. The picture bears some resemblance to snapshots of historic artifacts shown in text books. The texture and the feeling of dawn make the mind take a step back in time when the sun is about to rise – that life is about to start again – but at the same time the stillness gives an impression that time has stood still.
